Attending were Mr. Nguyen Van Loc - Member of Provincial Standing Party Committee, Head of Commission for Mass Mobilization of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; representatives of departments and branches; the provincial VBS Executive Committee, leaders of Thu Dau Mot City and 50 volunteers participating in the Covid-19 prevention and control this time. Responding to the call of the leaders of Binh Duong province, the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front as well as the call of the VBS Executive Council, the provincial VBS Executive Committee has launched and called for monks, nuns and Buddhists in the province to register to participate as volunteers to support the Covid-19 prevention and control in the province. Thereby, 50 volunteers have voluntarily registered to participate in this program. To ensure safety during participation, before departure, all volunteers were tested with negative results for Covid-19, were vaccinated against Covid-19 and fully trained.

Most Venerable Thich Hue Thong - Head of the provincial VBS Executive Committee said: "With the spirit of commitment to serve, all monks, nuns and Buddhists voluntarily participate and feel deeply the meaning of this program. We hope that volunteers participating in support work must show selflessness, altruism, commitment and dedication to bring the best to the people in the process of performing their duties; especially, must strictly abide by all the regulations and instructions of the localities they are sent to. With the very noble meaning of Buddhism that is "Serving sentient beings means making offerings to the Buddhas", we believe the squad in this departure will make a small contribution to the fight against Covid-19".

Speaking at the departure ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Loc informed more about the current pandemic situation in the province. He said, in order to join forces with the province to perform the Covid-19 prevention and control, during the past time, many organizations, individuals, and enterprise community inside and outside the province have shared and supported vehicles, goods, equipment and funds for the province's Covid-19 prevention and control; including the great contribution and support of monks, nuns and Buddhists in the province. On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Nguyen Van Loc highly appreciated and respectfully acknowledged the positive contributions of Binh Duong Buddhism to the common development of the province during the past time, especially in the work of participating in the Covid-19 prevention and control. At the same time, he wished the volunteers participating in the support of the pandemic prevention and control to be healthy and safe; in the process of participating in local support work, volunteers must always pay attention to their health, take good measures to protect themselves in order to well complete their assigned tasks, contributing to work together with the province and locality to well control the pandemic situation in the area.
On this occasion, the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the provincial VBS Executive Committee presented the volunteers with meaningful gifts to promptly motivate and encourage the spirit of volunteers.
After the departure ceremony, volunteers were coordinated to participate in supporting pandemic prevention and control in 03 wards in Thu Dau Mot city, including: Phu Hoa, Phu Tan and Dinh Hoa.
