​PORTAL - According to a report by the Department of Health, on August 24, 2021, Binh Duong had 1,653 patients discharged, bringing the total number of discharged patients from the 4th outbreak to 32,738.

In the past 24 hours, Binh Duong recorded 3,628 new cases of Covid-19. In which, the number of cases is concentrated most through community screening tests 1,868 (accounting for 51.5%) and in the blockade area 718 (accounting for 19.8%); 529 cases at health facilities (accounting for 14.6%); 513 cases were confirmed by PCR in the temporary isolation ward (accounting for 14.1%).

By residential area, Tan Uyen town 1,411 cases (down 31.5%), Thuan An city 785 cases (up 238.4%), Ben Cat town 686 cases (down 7.7%); Di An city 349 cases (up 751.2%), Thu Dau Mot city 271 cases (up 594.9%), Bac Tan Uyen district 59 cases (up 168.2%), Dau Tieng district 18 cases (up 1,700.0%), Phu Giao district 08 cases (down 33.3%,) Bau Bang district 2 cases (down 89.5%) and outside the province 39 cases (up 200.0%).

During the day, collected treatment for 1,452 patients; 35 deaths.

Currently, Covid-19 treatment facilities in the province are treating 15,163 patients, of which the 1st floor has 6,135 patients, the 2nd floor has 8,369 patients and the 3rd floor has 659 patients.

Since the 4th outbreak, Binh Duong province has recorded 77,053 cases of Covid-19; 639 patients died.

The whole province currently has 1,289 blockade areas with 130,223 people; 23,446 people are in concentrated isolation; 8,665 F1 cases are isolated at home and 3,362 cases of F0 are isolated at home.

On August 24, 2021, the province provided support for 319,080 cases, with a total amount of VND 154.764 billion. Including:

- Support 3,979 employees who suspended labor contracts or unpaid leave with the amount of VND 8,729 billion (additional support for 490 cases of pregnancy and raising children under 6 years old);

- Support 8 workers who stopped working due to the Covid-19 pandemic with the amount of VND 8 million;

- Food support for 2,753 F0 and F1 with the amount of VND 526.16 million;

- Support for 233 business households with the amount of VND 699 million;

- Support for 7,495 people who are employees without labor contracts with the amount of VND 11,242 billion;

- Housing rent support for workers staying in accommodation for 93,737 people with the amount of VND 28,121 billion;

- Food support for 210,875 workers in difficult circumstances who are staying in accommodation with the amount of VND 105.437 billion.

It is forecasted that in the next 2 weeks, more new cases of Covid-19 will be detected, especially when the province conducts the 3rd large-scale screening test. Therefore, the total number of new cases could increase by about 50,000 cases, bringing the total number of infections to 120,000 people. In order to proactively respond to the Covid-19 epidemic, be ready to receive and treat Covid-19 patients, the Provincial People's Committee has issued the Decision on urgent construction of works for the project to renovate items and works of Lien Chau Textile Co., Ltd., cluster of factories for lease of Hoang Hung Co., Ltd as a field hospital for the treatment of Covid-19 patients in the province with a scale of 4,880 beds. At the same time, the Department of Health was assigned to inspect and review the entire health force in the province (support force, provincial health, private healthcare etc.) to have a plan to calculate and coordinate appropriate forces for localities, isolation and treatment facilities. Prepare a plan of medical equipment and supplies to ensure 100,000 F0 to timely support collection and treatment for localities. Urgently direct the coordination of F0 in the direction of the simplest administrative procedures to receive once transferred by the district level. At the same time, the Ministry of Health is requested to support the medical staff and doctors; medical equipment; distribute vaccines to Binh Duong province to ensure epidemic prevention and control in the coming time.
