In the past 24 hours, Binh Duong recorded 4,505 new cases (the Ministry of Health announced on the 19h00 news on August 21, 2021). The number of cases in the day was the most concentrated when screening the community with 3,083 cases (68.4%), the blockade area 921 cases (20.4%). There were 333 cases confirmed by PCR at temporary isolation wards (7.4%) and 168 cases at medical facilities (accounting for 3.7%).
By residential area, there are 2,523 cases in Tan Uyen Town, 744 cases in Thuan An City, 382 cases in Di An City, 360 cases in Ben Cat Town, 287 cases in Thu Dau Mot City, 82 cases in Dau Tieng District, 68 cases in Bac Tan Uyen district, 35 cases in Bau Bang district, 16 cases in Phu Giao district and 08 cases in outside the province.
The Department of Health also reported 2,118 additional cases from July 16, 2021 to August 17, 2021.
During the collection day, 932 patients were treated; 42 deaths. Currently, Covid-19 treatment facilities in the province are treating 13,598 patients, of which the 1st floor has 5,722 patients, the 2nd floor has 7,286 patients and the 3rd floor has 590 patients.
Since the 4th outbreak, Binh Duong province has recorded 66,447 cases of Covid-19; 550 patients died.
The province is carrying out the second large-scale sampling (from August 2, 2021). As a result, localities took samples for rapid test and PCR for 908,449 people, with 23,336 positive cases; PCR sampling results for 113,628 workers at 122 companies in industrial zones, with 275 positive cases.

The whole province currently has 1,204 blockade areas with 121,963 people; 18,389 people are in concentrated isolation; 6,872 cases of F1 are isolated at home and 4,336 cases of F0 are isolated at home.
From August 20-22, 2021, Binh Duong will administer the 21st and 22nd phase of vaccination including 265,210 doses to the subjects.

According to Director of the Department of Health Nguyen Hong Chuong, the number of F0 cases has increased in recent days because the province is implementing the second large-scale testing strategy in the community. The number of cases increased when the province implemented a large-scale testing strategy, proving that the province correctly assessed the risk of the disease, checked the right subjects, and reached F0 in the community. If the province strengthens anti-epidemic measures but no cases are detected, the province's anti-epidemic measures are considered ineffective.
People please do not panic because of that, stay calm and believe in the province's epidemic prevention and control measures. The whole political system is taking drastic measures to reduce the number of infections, reduce the mortality rate and prevent the case of F0 becoming severe without being received and treated. The province strives that after August 30, 2021, the disease will be controlled in the Northern "green zone" districts and as a solid buffer base for the Southern localities to implement the greening roadmap of the whole area.
Regarding the implementation of support policies for the beneficiaries, up to now, the province has supported 1,070,381 cases, with a total amount of VND 614,393 billion. In which, support under Resolution No. 68/ND-CP: 167,245 cases, with a total amount of VND 270,002 billion; support under Resolution 04/2021/NQ-HDND: 535,883 cases, with a total amount of VND 160,764 billion; support under Decision No. 12/2021/QD-UBND: 367,253 cases, with a total amount of VND 183,626 billion.
