On August 19, 2021, Binh Duong has 7,154 patients discharged from hospital

​PORTAL – As reported by the Department of Health, on August 19, 2021, Binh Duong had 7,154 patients discharged from hospital, bringing the total number of discharged patients to 22,196.  

​​During the day, the province recorded 3,255 new cases (the Ministry of Health will announce it on the 19:00 news on August 19, 2021).

Of which, there were 168 cases at medical facilities (accounting for 5.2%), 217 cases of PCR confirmation in temporary quarantine areas (accounting for 6.7%), 1,049 cases in lockdown areas (accounting for 32.2%) and 1,821 cases through community screening (accounting for 55.9%).

According to the area of residence, Tan Uyen town 1,773 cases (up 177.9%), Ben Cat town 827 cases (down 24.9%), Thuan An city 300 cases (down 3.2%), Thu Dau Mot city 119 cases (up 14.4%), Di An city 108 cases (down 43.6%), Bau Bang district 55 cases (down 14.1%), Bac Tan Uyen district 38 cases (up 100%), Phu Giao district 17 cases (down 10.5%), Dau Tieng district 03 cases (up 50%) and other provinces and cities 05 cases (down 44.4%).

During the day, collecting and treating 799 patients; 45 cases died. Currently, Covid-19 treatment facilities in the province are treating 14,183 patients, of which the tier 1 has 6,791 patients, the tier 2 has 6,806 patients and the tier 3 has 586 patients.

Since the 4th pandemic wave, Binh Duong province has recorded 55,601 Covid-19 cases; 467 patients died.

Binh Duong deployed the second phase of taking samples for large-scale testing from August 02, 2021. As a result, localities took samples for rapid test and PCR for 630,683 people, had 20,072 positive cases; PCR sampling results for 111,076 workers at 114 companies in industrial parks, had 258 positive cases.

The province currently has 1,204 lockdown areas with 121,963 people; 21,473 people are in concentrated quarantine; 4,727 F1 cases are quarantined at home and 1,565 F0 cases are quarantined at home.

At the meeting on the afternoon of August 18, 2021, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee agreed on the plan of online back to school, online opening and online learning for the first 2 months in the entire province as planned. Agreeing not to collect tuition fees for the first semester of the 2021-2022 school year (from September 2021 to December 2021) for students studying at public educational institutions (preschool education, general education and continuing education) in the province. Orienting non-public schools to share difficulties with parents and students by not increasing tuition fees.

Providing financial support from funding sources for non-recurring tasks to pay additionally for teachers supplement knowledge for students who cannot participate in online learning. Facilitating for localities to transport and supply textbooks from warehouses and publishing companies to districts, communes and schools; assigning the Education branch to synthesize and distribute to students to promptly prepare for the new school year 2021-2022. Noting on the regulation of basic books to reduce the economic burden for parents and students in the difficult situation due to the current pandemic.

Governments at all levels continue to pay attention to and facilitate for staffing, invest in building a school and class system to better serve the learning needs of students at all levels. No later than October 15, 2021, schools that are being used as quarantine areas must be handed over to the Education branch to repair, clean and disinfect for direct teaching in early November 2021.
