On August 16, 2021, Binh Duong continues to have 736 patients recovered

​PORTAL - As reported by the Department of Health, on August 16, 2021, Binh Duong continued to have 736 recovered patients discharged from the hospital, bringing the total number of patients discharged since the 4th pandemic wave in the province to 12,011.

In the past 24 hours, Binh Duong recorded 2,522 new cases (it is expected that the Ministry of Health will announce it on the 19:00 news on August 16, 2021).

Of which, there are 17 cases at medical facilities (accounting for 0.7%), 08 cases of PCR confirmation in temporary quarantine areas (accounting for 0.3%), 2,487 cases in lockdown area (accounting for 98.6%) and 10 cases through community screening (accounting for 0.4%).

According to the area of residence, Thuan An city has 1,510 cases (down 0.1%), Tan Uyen town 360 cases (down 25.8%), Thu Dau Mot city 06 cases (down 95.1%), Di An city 278 cases (up 858.6%), Ben Cat town 106 cases (up 657.13%), Bau Bang district 02 cases (down 83.3%), Bac Tan Uyen district 247 cases (up 44, 4%), Dau Tieng district 0 case (down 100%), Phu Giao district 06 cases (up 60%) and 02 cases outside the province (up 0%).

During the day, collecting and treating 1,136 patients; 29 patients died.

Since the 4th pandemic wave, Binh Duong province has recorded 46,501 Covid-19 cases; 390 patients died.

The province's treatment areas are treating 11,801 patients, of which, 2,613 are symptomatic, 1,266 have underlying diseases and 726 turn severe.

From August 02, 2021, Binh Duong took samples for the second large-scale testing. Results: the localities took samples for rapid test and PCR for 346,370 people, had 8,394 positive cases; the results of implementing PCR sampling for 89,298 workers at 67 companies in industrial parks, had 138 positive cases.

The province currently has 1,250 lockdown areas with 124,845 people; 19,132 people are in concentrated quarantine; 4,395 F1 cases are quarantined at home and 1,000 F0 cases are quarantined at home.

On August 16, 2021, Binh Duong continued to put into operation phase 2 of Thoi Hoa treatment area for Covid-19 patients with 3,400 beds to meet the needs of facilities for collecting and treating Covid-19 patients (tier 1 and tier 2). Previously, on August 03, 2021, Becamex IDC Corporation put into operation phase 1 of the Treatment area with a scale of 5,300 beds, promptly meeting the province's requirements for treating Covid-19 patients.

On August 14, 2021, the Ministry of Health promulgated Decision no. 3877/QD-BYT on the allocation of Covid-19 vaccines for phase 21 and 22. Accordingly, Binh Duong was allocated 250,000 doses of Astra Zeneca vaccine and 15,210 doses of Pfizer vaccine. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has assigned the Department of Health to urgently advise the Steering Committee on a plan to allocate 250,000 doses of the vaccine by "zone" and to prioritize vaccination for people in zones and locations with high risk of Covid-19 infection; at the same time, prepare to ensure other necessary conditions to complete the vaccination as soon as possible, associated with timely data input when injecting, without delay.

Regarding the case of 05 medical facilities that did not accept the disease as reported by the press agencies, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee assigned the Provincial Police to coordinate with relevant branches to investigate, clarify and strictly handle according to regulations.

On August 16, 2021, the Prime Minister sent a Telegram to 18 Southern provinces and cities that are implementing Directive 16. In the Telegram, the Prime Minister asked the provinces and cities not to let any people lack food, clothing, no accommodation, no medical support. Providing practical support policies in cash, food, foodstuffs, etc. so that people can rest assured to stay and comply with regulations on pandemic prevention and control. Not allowing people to arbitrarily leave the province or city where the distancing is being implemented and return to their hometown. In particular cases where someone arbitrarily returns to his/her hometown or has passed through another province, the provinces must agree on the reception and management to ensure safety. If they cannot be transported back to their hometowns, the Ministry of National Defense is assigned to direct the reception and transfer to quarantine facilities managed by the army. Agreeing with relevant localities to organize the transportation of people need to go home safely and thoughtfully. In particular, priority should be given to transport pregnant women near the delivery period, women raising small children.
