In which, there are 191 cases at medical facilities (accounting for 9.4%), 148 cases of PCR confirmation in temporary quarantine areas (accounting for 7.3%), 1,078 cases in lockdown areas (accounting for 53.1 %) and 612 cases through community screening (accounting for 30.2%).
According to area of residence, Thuan An city 939 cases (up 9.6%), Tan Uyen town 482 cases (up 2.8%), Thu Dau Mot city 245 cases (up 78.8%), Di An city 193 cases (down 82.4%), Ben Cat town 75 cases (down 58.3%), Bau Bang district 45 cases (up 104.5%), Bac Tan Uyen district 27 cases (up 9 times), Dau Tieng district 13 cases (down 13.3%), Phu Giao district 02 cases (down 91.7%) and 08 cases outside the province (down 46.7%).

Explaining the reason why in recent days, Binh Duong has recorded an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases, Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan said that the increase in the number of cases in the province compared to before proves that the province has correctly assessed the risk, properly reviewed the subjects, not to miss and lose F0 in the community, and accordingly, the province's anti-pandemic measures have been strengthened, more drastic and more effective.
According to the Deputy Minister's assessment, the number of cases increased in some days, but most of them were detected in the lockdown and quarantine areas for positive rapid test cases, so it is safe for the community. Meanwhile, the detection rate in the community is quite low. Besides, localities of the province are promoting the implementation of the second large-scale testing and announcing the results, so the number of cases has increased in recent days.
According to the Deputy Minister, epidemiological assessment cannot be based only on numbers but must be based on many factors such as: Pandemic prevention and control strategy, F0 danger to the community, level of control, people's awareness of implementing 5K, medical capacity, etc. Persevering in the testing strategy will help the province "separate" F0 from the community, gradually narrowing the "red zone", greening the "yellow zone", and continuing to expand and protect the safe "green zone". Currently, anyone is at risk of infecting Covid-19, so people's awareness in implementing 5K and pandemic prevention and control measures is especially important. When people have symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, etc., it is necessary to immediately report it to health staff for supervision and timely sampling for tests.
