In his opening speech, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the 15th Government took on the task in the context that the world and the country have opportunities, advantages and difficulties, and challenges intertwined, especially the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic with the Delta variant is happening very complicated and unpredictable in the world and in Vietnam, threatening the health and life of the people and seriously affecting all socio-economic aspects of the country.
"Today, in the presence of the General Secretary and all the leaders of the Party and State, at the Government Headquarters, next to the historic Ba Dinh Square, the 15th Government held its first plenary meeting, which is also a historic meeting, with the determination to build a Government of innovation, integrity, action, efficiency, for the people to serve. The meeting was held after the 13th Party Congress and the very successful first meeting of the 15th National Assembly, to implement the Party's Resolution and the National Assembly's Resolution on the five-year socio-economic development for the 2021-2025 period", the Prime Minister affirmed.

The 13th Party Congress has set out guidelines, lines and policies; National Assembly has institutionalized; and the Government has concretized by the Action Plan with 409 schemes, projects and tasks to implement the Party Congress's Resolution and the 15th National Assembly's Resolution. The meeting will focus on discussing and agreeing on the most important and key issues in all fields of the country in the next five years.
The meeting was held for 01 day. In the morning, the Government discussed the key tasks of implementing the Government's Action Plan to implement the 13th Party Congress's Resolution and draft Action Plan of the Government for the 2021-2026 tenure to implement the National Assembly's Resolution on the socio-economic development plan for the 2021-2025 period. In the afternoon of the same day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will chair an online Government Meeting with localities on the situation of socio-economic development in July and the first 7 months of 2021, the Covid-19 prevention and control and key tasks, solutions in the last months of the year.
