Outbreaks will be controlled in August
Reporting to the Delegation, Mr. Vo Van Minh - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said, from the 4th pandemic wave to August 05, 2021, Binh Duong recorded 22,053 Covid-19 cases and 136 deaths; there are currently 20,589 F1 in concentrated medical quarantine and 2,643 F1 in medical quarantine at home. The majority of outbreaks that appeared in the community were basically under control.
The province is piloting quarantine at home for low-risk F1 and asymptomatic F0 on the basis of ensuring eligibility. Deploying the 8th phase of Covid-19 vaccination with the plan of injecting at least 100,000 doses per day, ensuring that all the allocated vaccines are administered before August 10. Developing a plan to expand beds for treatment to 30,000 beds; increase to 50,000 beds and expand to 100,000 beds for centralized quarantine. Expeditiously implementing additional procurement packages for supplies, medical equipment, test kits, biological products, and medicine for Covid 19 treatment. Tightening, maintaining and gradually expanding safe "green zones"; continuing to organize sampling and early testing to detect and immediately separate F0 from the community, thereby gradually cleaning the area, turning the red zone into "yellow zone" and quickly bringing it back to the "green area". Connecting and circulating goods among provinces and cities, ensuring the supply of essential consumer goods, stabilizing the prices of market items. Explaining the recent increase in F0 cases, Mr. Nguyen Hong Chuong - Director of the Department of Health said that it is because the province is carrying out large-scale testing by rapid test and PCR test to separate F0 from the community. At the same time, he shared the optimistic signals that the cases detected in medical facilities have gradually decreased in recent days, currently, the number of infected cases is high in quarantine and lockdown areas; the strict implementation of Directive 16 makes a very important contribution for Binh Duong to localize and quell the pandemic. Moreover, Binh Duong is conducting vaccination for people and workers, employees with the number of 100,000 people per day to create community immunity. Regarding treatment, Binh Duong is operating quite effectively the 3-tier tower treatment model under the guidance of the Ministry of Health.
Providing more information to the Delegation, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi said that at present, the province is ensuring treatment facilities for more than 18,000 cases. If the scenario increases to 30,000 Covid-19 cases in the coming time, Binh Duong will still be able to meet the treatment needs because the province is piloting the treatment of asymptomatic F0 at home to reduce the load on Covid-19 treatment hospitals. The province has also developed a scenario to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic after August 15 (the end of the social distancing period according to Directive 16, 2nd phase). In the last two weeks of this August, Binh Duong will focus on gradually narrowing down and handling the remaining outbreaks. At the same time, trying to maintain the "green zones" including: Phu Giao, Bac Tan Uyen and Dau Tieng.
Binh Duong also fully deploys support packages of the Government, localities, as well as other social resources to ensure social security for all people and workers in the area, leaving no one lacking. As for some cases of delay in receiving medical assistance due to untimely coordination, the province has had a plan to correct it.
Being proactive in treatment, reducing death rate
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam highly appreciated Binh Duong's recent strengthening of concentrated quarantine facilities, collection system of asymptomatic F0, treatment tiers according to the guidance of the Ministry of Health. Paying special attention to the treatment of Covid-19 patients, F0 with symptoms of tier 1 are treated in time, contributing to reducing the transition to the tier 1, tier 2. The preparation of facilities for Covid-19 treatment areas in the province has a very large number of hospital beds to meet the requirements of receiving and collecting F0.
"Currently, Binh Duong only lacks some equipment and machinery on the top treatment tier, and is waiting for support from the Ministry of Health, until then Binh Duong can fully take the initiative and reduce the death rate." – Deputy Prime Minister commented.
For areas with a large concentration of workers staying at the boarding houses, and the pandemic has been at high level of infection, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam asked Binh Duong to calculate the plan and solution to expand and reduce density by moving each boarding house to to other locations to create an "anti-pandemic runway".

The Deputy Prime Minister asked the Party committee, government, political and social organizations in Binh Duong to actively encourage workers outside the province to try to "keep staying in their place", not to return to their hometown during the period of distancing.
In safe areas, continuing to promote to "go to every alley, knock door to door, check person to person" to control all people coming from other places.
Binh Duong has strictly implemented social distancing according to Directive 16, so although there have been over 20,000 infections, in the last 2 days, the number of new infections has decreased significantly, only in lockdown areas and outbreaks with high level of infection. It is expected that after 01 week, the number of infections will start to decrease.
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam expressed his joy when the frontline forces of Binh Duong, leaders at all levels and Binh Duong people are determined to strive to basically control the pandemic by August 15 in 5/9 districts, towns and cities. By August 30, the pandemic had been basically controlled in the remaining 4 towns and cities, adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City. Except for some hot spots that have been localized and continue to be cleaned, Binh Duong province will basically return to a new normal.
