Presenting gifts to support 400 workers staying at boarding houses in Thu Dau Mot City

​PORTAL - On the morning of August 05, the Provincial Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front coordinated with member organizations and localities to organize a round of gift presenting to support workers staying at boarding houses with difficulties in Phu Loi ward, Thu Dau Mot city.

This is the first day of implementing the support program for workers staying at boarding houses who have lost their jobs or stopped working due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in the province, in order to contribute to encouraging workers and employees in the boarding houses to feel secure, thereby well complying with Directive 16 of the Prime Minister, joining hands with the province to well implement the pandemic prevention and control under the direction of the Standing Committee of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee.

The delegation went directly to a boarding house in Quarter 3, Phu Loi ward to inquire about the situation and share with the difficulties that the people here are facing due to the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic; at the same time, presenting each worker a gift worth 500,000 VND (including essential necessities worth 300,000 VND and cash of 200,000 VND).

Ms. Tran Thi Hong Hanh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front said that the province always pays special attention to the lives of workers staying at boarding houses, if they encounter difficulties during the implementation of the Government's Directive 16, people can contact their boarding house owner to report to the locality for receiving timely support. At the same time, she encouraged everyone to feel safe to stay and well observe the regulations on pandemic prevention and control to join hands with the province to well control the pandemic situation in the area.

The total number of gifts that the Provincial Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front in coordination with member organizations gave support to the workers staying at boarding houses on the first day of the program implementation was 400 parts. It is expected that this time, the province will spend about 260 billion VND to support 500,000 workers staying at boarding houses who have lost their jobs or stopped working due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in the province.
