The number of patients being treated is 9,437 patients; including 77 pregnant women, 236 people over 65 years old, 402 people with underlying diseases, 514 people with severe disease.
During the day, Binh Duong recorded 2,395 cases of Covid-19; 01 death case. Since the 4th outbreak, Binh Duong province has recorded 27,639 cases of Covid-19; 176 patients died.
Currently, the province has 21 Covid-19 patient treatment areas with 120 doctors, 295 nurses directly serving and 166 medical staff to support people (total: 581 people). The number of beds currently can accommodate 17,240 people. In addition, the province has also mobilized and established 4 private general hospitals to treat Covid-19 patients, especially foreign patients.
From August 2, 2021, Binh Duong continues to carry out the 2nd large-scale testing in localities and industrial zones in the province. On August 7, 2021, rapid test was carried out in Di An city for 27,470 people, 451 people were positive; Provincial CDC deployed to collect PCR samples for 8,687 workers at "3 on-site" enterprises, with 3 positive pooled-samples (retrieving single samples). Up to now, in localities, 205,421 people have been sampled, there are 4,381 positive cases; at enterprises taking PCR samples for 15,196 people, the results showed 41 positive samples (38 pooled-samples and 03 single samples).
The province currently has 1,601 blockade areas with 143,245 people; 142 concentrated isolation areas with 18,076 people in isolation and 4,355 F1 cases isolated at home.
Regarding vaccination, from 16:00 on August 7, 2021 to 16:00 on August 8, 2021, 25,790 people received the 1st injection; 6,181 injections of 2nd dose. Accumulated to date, the whole province has been able to inject 191,727 people (of which: 170,401 people with 1st dose; 21,326 people with 2nd dose; 24,517 people with normal reactions). Binh Duong is asking the Ministry of Health to allocate more vaccines to more than 2 million people in the area.
