PORTAL - That is the evaluation of Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan when answering interviews with reporters of press agencies about the Covid-19 prevention and control in Binh Duong province.

Deputy Minister, how do you evaluate the treatment of Covid-19 patients in Binh Duong province over the past time?

Deputy Minister Tran Van Thuan: We highly appreciate the drastic participation of the political system along with the solidarity and unanimity from people to enterprises, Binh Duong has quickly established and promptly put into operation Field Hospitals (FH) in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Health to serve the treatment of F0 in the coming time because the pandemic in Binh Duong province is developing very complicatedly and is expected to continue to increase in the coming time.

During the construction of the FH, the province together with experts from the Ministry of Health discussed building the standard model of the Ministry, which is the "3-tier system" model. Currently, Binh Duong's FH operate in a 2-tier model: Tier 1 specializes in the collection and treatment of mild or asymptomatic Covid-19 patients, tier 2 treats symptomatic and moderately severe Covid-19 patients. Binh Duong has prepared very carefully and fully with medical equipment and human resources for the FH, typically the FH built and put into operation by Becamex Corporation. According to the guidance, the Ministry of Health encourages to provide oxygen for patients on the tier 2, but Binh Duong has carefully equipped oxygen tanks right from the tier 1 to cope with the possibility that when the patients on the tier 1 have serious and critical developments, they will promptly receive emergency treatment right on the tier 1.

With the current facilities and human resources, has Binh Duong met the needs of treating Covid-19 patients, sir?

Deputy Minister Tran Van Thuan: For Binh Duong, in addition to the existing provincial human resources, it is necessary to have the support of human resources from the Ministry of Health and the provinces and cities. Currently, the Ministry of Health has mobilized 1,134 officials, staff and students of medical universities to support Binh Duong and is continuing to mobilize about 600 officials and staff to support Binh Duong's pandemic prevention and control, including emergency work and treatment of Covid-19 patients. We believe, with the drastic participation of the entire political system, the unanimity and consensus of all people, enterprises and the support of the Ministry of Health, in the coming time, the pandemic in Binh Duong will gradually stabilize and move forward to be repelled.

To achieve this goal, in working sessions with the province, the Ministry of Health's Delegation has proposed a number of strategies Binh Duong needs to implement during this time. First of all, the province must take advantage of the time to implement social distancing according to Directive 16, speeding up large-scale testing with rapid tests to quickly separate F0 from communities, factories and manufactories. Firmly protecting and expanding "green zones", at the same time, tightly localizing and gradually narrowing the "red zone". The Ministry also coordinated with the province to build a 500-bed Resuscitation Center operated by experts, leading officials of the Ministry of Health, staff and students of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Universities.

Sir, currently the issue of vaccination for people in Binh Duong is an urgent requirement and one of the solutions for community immunity and pandemic control in the province. So what plan did the Ministry of Health have on the issue of vaccine distribution to Binh Duong and what advice do you have to the people about choosing the type of vaccine to inject?

Deputy Minister Tran Van Thuan: Regarding the issue of vaccine distribution, currently, the vaccine source is not enough to inject all Binh Duong people, so the Ministry of Health has discussed with the province, immediately, it is necessary to strictly control the pandemic situation in industrial parks and areas that are "hot spots" of the pandemic; promote the operational efficiency of Covid safety groups in enterprises and community Covid groups; regularly inspect, supervise, especially screen workers in industrial parks to promptly detect cases. The Ministry also recommended the province, for enterprises that are not safe for pandemic prevention and control, production will not be allowed; in addition to priority subjects vaccinated according to the Government's Resolution, Binh Duong also prioritizes vaccination for workers in industrial parks, treating each worker as a soldier on the economic front. The Ministry of Health will also give priority to distribute vaccines in the largest number possible to Binh Duong when resources are available.

At this time, people should not choose which vaccine to inject. It is good to have vaccines to inject because the vaccines have been evaluated by Health organizations for effectiveness on a number of factors: Infection prevention, infection reduction and severity reduction of patients with Covid-19.
