Mr. Duong Chi Nam - Deputy Director of Health Environment Management Agency, Ministry of Health said: "In addition to 350 students of Hanoi Medical University, the Ministry of Health also mobilized 200 students of Hai Duong Technical University who are volunteering in Ho Chi Minh City to support. This force alone is capable of taking samples for testing up to 110,000 people per day. Each locality must have a temporary quarantine area for positive cases after rapid testing waiting for PCR test results. In case there are many positive cases, F1 must be quarantined at home. The implementation of rapid testing throughout the province combined with strict application of Directive 16 is a golden time to quell the pandemic.
Taking samples for testing for people in Di An City
Binh Duong has built 1,500 groups to take samples for testing for the whole province, 500 groups will take samples every day. It is expected that in 10 days, sampling will be completed in the whole province. The goal is to "wipe out" F0 each area, to any area that ensures "clean" that area. At the same time, strictly locking down the pandemic area, testing every 3 days, testing 5 times a day with low-risk areas and must have results after 24 hours to separate F0 from the community on the principle of focusing on sampling in high-risk areas and taking pooled samples in low-risk areas.
As planned, on July 17, 2021, Di An City is the first unit to implement large-scale testing. Mr. Pham Van Bay - Vice Chairman of Di An City People's Committee said that the city has prepared steps for this work, the whole city has 434,000 people divided into 140 sampling points in 07 wards with 350 sampling teams and 100 serving volunteers. Wards have also arranged thoughtful logistics, prepared temporary treatment facilities when F0 is available to wait for PCR testing, and implemented lockdown.
