​PORTAL - According to the report of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, from 6:00 to 17:00 on july 17, 2021, Binh Duong recorded 281 new infected cases, bringing the total number of infected cases in the day to 405.

Among 281 new infected cases, 134 cases were detected at quarantine zones, lockdowns, 17 cases were detected at companies, 118 cases were detected at medical facilities, and 12 cases were detected during community screening.

The Steering Committee also reported 02 deaths due to Covid-19. The 1st cases is a female patient, born in 1970, living in: An Dien, Ben Cat; she was isolated at Hoa Loi - Ben Cat on July 11, 2021; on July 16, 2021, the situation got worse and she was transferred to the Provincial General Hospital. The patient died at 14:40 on July 16, 2021 with the diagnosis: Myocardial infarction, pneumonia caused by SARS-CoV-2. The 2nd case is a male patient, born in 1996, livng in: Hoa Phu, Thu Dau Mot; he was treated at Tan Uyen Medical Center and was transferred to Provincial General Hospital on July 07, 2021. The patient died at 6:30 on July 17, 2021 with the diagnosis: Severe pneumonia complicated by severe ARDS caused by SARS-CoV-2 (determined by RT-PCR).

From the 4th epidemic, Binh Duong has recorded 2,580 infected cases, 06 cases of death. Currently, there have been 09 treatment areas with 2,947 patients under treatments. Among the cases, there are 40 pregnant women; 29 people over 65 years old; 74 people with underlying diseases; 48 patients having severe development. Cumulatively, 112 patients have recovered.

Cumulated from the beginning of the epidemic to July 14, 2021, 67,298 test samples have been conducted for 152,963 turns of people. Tracing results at all outbreaks have recorded about 12,833 F1 cases, 33,723 F2 cases.

The province has 9,789 cases currently in concentrated medical isolation and 20,976 cases in medical isolation at home and residence.

According to the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, the number of cases is still high, increasing in the localities of Thuan An and Di An Cities and showing signs of spreading to the northern localities such as: Bau Bang district, Dau Tieng district.

Faced with the complicated development of the epidemic situation, the Provincial People's Committee issued Directive No. 12/CT-UBND dated July 5, 2021 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on improving the operational efficiency of the Community Covid Team, and the Covid Safety Team in epidemic surveillance in residential areas and enterprises. Accordingly, the districts, towns and cities have established a Sub-committee to direct the activities of the Community Covid Team and develop an implementation plan. So far, 5,788 Community Covid Teams and 7,974 Covid Safety Teams have been established at enterprises. At the same time, planning to deploy large-scale testing by rapid test throughout the province in association with strictly implementing Directive 16 of the Prime Minister to control the epidemic. In 02 days, Di An Ward and An Binh Ward (Di An City) had deployed large-scale testing.
