Overview of the 18th Meeting of Thuan An City People's Council
In the past tenure, under the leadership of the Party Executive Committee, People's Councils at all levels completed their functions and tasks under the law, demonstrating the role of the local State authority, representing the will, aspirations and the people's right to mastery. From the beginning of the tenure up to now, the City People's Council has considered, adopted 94 Resolutions, and organized 58 turns of supervisions; At the same time, supervising through voter contact with 29,750 voters attended and 2,626 opinions and recommendations being expressed.
On the other hand, the People's Councils at all levels have organized the supervisions through receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations of citizens. During the tenure, there were 180 citizen reception sessions with 474 turns of citizens; urging functional agencies to resolve reached 100% of complaints and denunciations.
On the basis of the results achieved in the past tenure, Thuan An City People's Council has set out directions and tasks in the 2021 – 2026 tenure. Accordingly, well organizing the election of the 15th National Assembly and the election of deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2021 – 2026 tenure; Implementing and supervising relevant agencies and organizations to well perform the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels to ensure compliance with the law, democracy, equality, safety and thriftiness; ensure the election of sufficient number, structure, composition and quality of deputies to contribute to improving the capacity, quality and efficiency of activities of People's Councils at all levels for the 2021 – 2026 tenure.
Organizing and effectively implementing the Resolution of the 12th City Party Congress, the 2020 – 2025 tenure; Continuing to improve the quality and efficiency of the meeting, ensuring that the Resolution is issued in accordance with the key tasks according to the local real situation; Strengthening thematic supervision in the fields with many pressing issues such as compensation, clearance, supervision of the implementation of budget revenue and expenditure, and national target programs in the area.
On this occasion, the Internal Affairs Division of Thuan An City was honored to receive the Third-class Labor Medal awarded by the State President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; 03 individuals were honored to receive Certificates of Merit awarded by the Prime Minister. Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 05 collectives and 14 individuals and Thuan An City People's Committee awarded Certificates of merit to 06 collectives and 12 individuals with outstanding achievements in the activities of the People's Council in the 2016-2021 tenure.
