As reported, the average daily amount of domestic waste generated in Di An City is about 500 tons, collected by 35 private garbage collection teams to the intermediate area specializing in domestic waste in Tan Binh ward before being transported to the South Binh Duong waste treatment area. At the same time, Di An City has implemented many programs and plans on raising awareness of environmental protection and building a civilized lifestyle for the people.

The project is deployed in a pilot concentration in 03 wards of Dong Hoa, Tan Binh and Di An; In which, focusing on propaganda for people living in the area about the importance of waste separation at source, waste harms and the role of communities in waste separation and minimization.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Mai Hung Dung - Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments and branches to support the Di An city for the project to deploy effectively and achieve its objectives. At the same time, Di An city People's Committee organizes propaganda and dissemination of the Project's content for the community to understand and coordinate; Thereby making the deployment of the Project become a political task for the beneficiary localities. Mr. Mai Hung Dung also suggested that, the Executive Board and the Advisory Expert Group for Project Implementation supervise and solve arising problems to ensure schedule and efficiency; organize to evaluate the results of Project implementation, thereby summarizing and selecting suitable models that can be replicated to districts, towns and cities in the province.​
