This is special international event which opens up many opportunities for Binh Duong and all participating businesses as well as organizations and individuals. The event aims to enhance the development of an open multilateral trading system, share experiences in green production technologies, and discuss about the future orientation for the mutual benefit of countries in the Asia-Pacific region and Europe.
At the conference, the speakers from countries of European Union, ASEAN and businesses discussed the current situation and challenges of sustainable production; demand for production technologies in Vietnam; capacity building and biodegradable plastic market. At the same time, they shared the application of green technology in production by European businesses and the results brought to ASEAN countries when it is implemented.
Conference sharing experiences on green production technology
Speaking at the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Mr. Mai Hung Dung informed the results of implementing Binh Duong Smart City Project. Therein, the province pays special attention to socio-economic development on the basis of investment in improving the quality of human resources and scientific and technological foundation to aim for green growth efficiency and sustainable development. Up to now, Binh Duong has attracted more than 50,000 domestic and international enterprises from countries and territories around the world to invest, produce and do business; become the third locality in the country in attracting foreign investment; accounting for 9.1% of the country's foreign investment capital. The province continues to promote sustainable development towards a smart, civilized and modern city with major projects such as the World Trade Center, Binh Duong New City and Science and Technology Industrial Park; pay attention to promote digital transformation, smart production and create conditions for domestic enterprises to gradually access advanced technology and join the global value chain.
