Leaders of Foreign Affairs Department, Planning and Investment Department, Construction Department, Natural Resources and Environment Department, Education and Training Department, Agriculture and Rural Development Department, Binh Duong Water – Environment Joint Stock Company (BIWASE) also attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Mr. Troels Jakobsen, Denmark Commercial Counselor presented on the Danida Sustainable Infrastructure Finance (DSIF), a program providing interest-free loans to infrastructure projects in developing countries; Investment Fund (IFU) and the Danish Government Investment Funds (EKF), programs focus on supporting social and economic development. Through these three programs, he wished to explore cooperation opportunities in Binh Duong province in areas such as education, water, agriculture, industry and environment etc. These programs provide various conditions and different financing possibilities to relevant and feasible projects. At the meeting, the Delegation also discussed with leader of Education and Training Department regarding Lego Foundation, an educational development program.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Truc, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong People's Committee expressed his thank for valuable information and interest of the Delegation in Binh Duong province. According to Vice Chairman, in the first 6 months of 2020, although there are still many difficulties and challenges due to the situation of Covid-19 pandemic, however the province has also made efforts for the "normalization" as both implementing measures to prevent and control the disease while carrying out socio-economic development tasks. There are 65 countries and territories investing in Binh Duong province, in which Denmark has 13 projects with total investment capital of more than USD 77 million. Typically, Scancom Vietnam Co., Ltd has invested USD 22.5 million capitals and more than 15.000 employees. He pledged to direct the relevant departments to study the projects that Mr. Troels Jakobsen introduced, so that we can cooperate to improve quality of people's life.
