​Receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Tran Van Nam - Member of the Party Central Executive Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Nguyen Van Loc - Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Head of provincial Commission for Mass Mobilization, Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

In the first 5 months of the year, the provincial Labor Confederation has focused on directing the Trade Union at all levels to organize labor care programs for workers such as: New Year reunion, Spring Bus, Workers month, Month of action on occupational safety and health. Accordingly, the Trade Union levels have established 105 grassroots trade unions, developing 25,267 union members. In order to timely share difficulties with workers who lost their jobs, reduced income due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the provincial Labor Confederation instructed the union at all levels to provide financial support from trade union to union members and workers who are stopped from work or lose their jobs due to pandemic in extremely difficult circumstances with the support level of VND 500,000/ case. Up to now, there have been 1,712 cases supported by the spending units and currently continue to consider and support.

At the same time, the provincial Labor Confederation has proposed and been approved by the General Confederation of Labor to use the accumulated financial source of VND 50 billion in order to support union members and workers to borrow at a preferential interest rate (2%/ year) through CEP Microfinance organization, to build a "Fund for supporting workers in extremely difficult circumstances", thereby the organization awarded 124 gifts to workers with the amount of over VND 900 million. According to statistics, there are over 300,000 union members, workers receive support through many forms; there are about 1,170 parks and hostels implementing exemption, discount and other forms of support for workers.

At the meeting, the Delegation highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, dynamism and creativity in the management of the provincial Labor Confederation and all levels of Labor Union in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, taking care of workers' lives through many effective models, especially accompany workers in the situation of Covid-19 disease. Although the province has a large number of workers, the provincial Labor Confederation has been very flexible in resolving problems that arise, well performing labor relations, persistent efforts in the establishment of the grassroots Trade Union and the development of union members in the serious context of Covid-19 pandemic. The Delegation also noted that the Trade Union at all levels focused on propaganda and legal education to improve "resistance" for workers, firmly grasping the labor situation after Covid-19; enhance the role of grassroots cadres in dialogue with businesses to ensure benefits for workers, building models close to union members, close to the base of sustainable operations, paying attention to developing non-state enterprises, focusing on deploying the support package of the General Labor Confederation for workers.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Van Nam emphasized, Binh Duong has always identified the trade union movement as a very important array that directly affects the socio-economic development, security and defense of the province. The province has over 53% of immigrants and the province always pay special attention to and care for workers' lives with the spirit "any worker coming to Binh Duong will be treated as a Binh Duong citizen". In the coming time, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the provincial Labor Confederation to study the solution as well as more models to all levels of trade union close to workers, close to the base, firmly grasping the labor situation, giving timely advice to the province to avoid labor abuses which affect the security and order situation. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee hoped the General Confederation of Labor to support and guide the provincial Labor Confederation in the direction and implementation of the work, in the coming time, the implementation of laws related to Trade Union and workers will be implemented.
