The overview of the opening ceremony for the final round of Binh Duong Smart City building Initiative 2018
The event was attended by Mai Hung Dung, Member of Provincial Standing Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; Kang Beung Joo, WTA's General Secretary; Rob Van Gijzel, former Mayor of Netherland's Eindhoven city, Chairman of ICF; leaders of provincial departments; Heads of EIU, universities of Viet Nam and South Korea; representatives of businesses, sponsors, competition judges and students.

The competition was among the series of events to celebrate the 20th WTA anniversary, a challenging and interesting playground for students of Viet Nam and South Korea. The aim is to find, support and develop the initiatives among the young in building Binh Duong smart city. It also offers students of Viet Nam and South Korea with opportunities to exchange, share knowledge and develop initiative capability for the benefit of community, contributing to consolidating the friendship relation between the two countries.
Competing Teams presented their solutions
After the preliminary and semi-final rounds that had simultaneously taken place in Viet Nam and Korea with over 100 competitors from Viet Nam and 26 ones from South Korea, the Competition Organizing Committee has selected 14 excellent solutions. Seven were of Vietnamese students and the rest half were from South Korea.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the final round of the competition, the Standing Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Mai Hung Dung expressed his thanks to leaders of WTA, Daejeon city, organization, businesses and individuals for their supports while congratulating the 14 finalists. He expected that the competition would witness interesting matches and find out the excellent ones that really contribute to the cause of Binh Duong smart city building. The next competitions would welcome participants from other WTA's member cities so that the young would have opportunities to study, share and cooperate in line with the spirit of WTA.
