The program has awarded 246 scholarships worth a total of 676 million VND to good disadvantaged students in the province. Of these, 92 scholarships will be offered to high school students, each worth 4 million VND and 154 scholarships for secondary school students, each worth 2 million VND. The program is oriented to the annual activity, to help disadvantaged students overcome their academic.

Speaking at the ceremony, Tran Thanh Liem affirmed, recently, Korean Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City with KOCHAM Binh Duong and Korean investors in the province always show the spirit of responsibility, contributing together with the local authorities to well implement social security. Vice Chairman wished, KOCHAM scholarships will strive to achieve better academic performance to deserve the attention of the social community, looking forward to a good future and build Binh Duong more prosperous; Korean business community continues to join hands to support disadvantaged students to rise up in life and in learning; wish for the closer cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and Korea.

Reportedly, in 61 countries and territories investing in Binh Duong, Korea ranks 3rd with 619 projects with a total investment of 2 billion 694 million USD. Over the past 8 years, Binh Duong KOCHAM and Korean businesses have invested more than 2 billion 950 million VND for social activities, including: Awarding 1.580 gifts for Tet with a total value of 928 million VND, 06 houses of gratitude with a total value of 440 million VND. In particular, over the past 03 years (2014-2016), KOCHAM Binh Duong and Korean companies invested in the province have contributed 1 billion 582 million VND to donate 596 scholarships for good disadvantaged students in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd "KOCHAM Scholarships - Raising the dreams".
