The theme of The Vietnam Traffic Safety Conference in 2017 is "Binh Duong: Vision of safe transportation for a smart and worth living city" hosted by the National Traffic Safety Committee and in coordination with Binh Duong province. This is a special conference within the framework of 12th International Conference of Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies (EASTS) 2017, which is an opportunity for delegates to exchange and discuss scientific research results, domestic and international practice in the field of transport and traffic safety. The conference is scheduled to take place on September 21st,2017 at the Binh Duong Exhibition and Convention Center.

After listening to the members of Steering Committee on the preparation of the conference, Chairman of the PPC Mr. Tran Thanh Liem assigned the Department of Traffic and Transport to chair and coordinate with departments and agencies, members of the Steering Committee assign specific tasks, especially holding the press conference, arrangement the place of residence of delegates, ensuring security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting ... The Chairman stressed that Vietnam traffic safety Conference 2017 is an opportunity for Binh Duong to learn intelligent traffic management models and solutions in the region as well as to promote Binh Duong's people and images. Therefore, the departments and agencies should synchronize the tasks assigned to ensure the successful convention.​
