Report on the school's activities with the Prime Minister, the university leaders said, the Vietnamese German University is currently implementing 11 training programs, including 6 master degree programs and 5 bachelor degrees belongs to 5 specialized fields of science - engineering and technology. The University aims to become a leading research university in Southeast Asia, a top choice for students, faculty and scientists in fields of engineering, information technology, economics and management in Vietnam.

Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised the university's outstanding progress in the past 9 years and impressed by the number of articles, scientific publications published by the university, the percentage of students leaving university to work and laboratory facilities. In particular, the university has created a social belief in the quality of higher education. The Prime Minister appreciated the active support of Binh Duong Province, creating conditions for effective operation.
The Prime Minister hoped that, the Vietnamese German University would be a symbol, a bridge for cooperation between two economies and a bridge of friendship between two generations of students of Vietnam-Germany, linking high education systems, high-tech industry, economy the most prosperous of Germany, transferring the fine and modern mechanical engineering of Germany into the educational and economic development reform of Vietnam.

The Prime Minister agreed with proposal to soon have an Agreement with the German Government to serve as an important and long-lasting legal basis for the development of Vietnamese German University.
Regarding the specific financial mechanism, The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of university autonomy and entrusted the Ministry of Education and Training to soon introduce a mechanism to create the best conditions for the development of Vietnamese German University.
