GS Battery Vietnam Co., Ltd. was established in 1997 as a wholly foreign-owned enterprise, a joint venture between GS YUASA Corporation, the leading lead acid battery manufacturer in Asia and Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan), factories located in Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park I (Binh Duong) and Vinh Phuc province.

Over 20 years of operation, GS Battery Vietnam Co., Ltd. has grown tremendously and made a great contribution to the Vietnamese industry. By 2016, the unit size reached 57 million US dollars, 4 times increase compared to the beginning of establishment, number of workers has reached more than 1.500 people, which increased 50 times compared to 2012, annual revenue growth of 16%. The company is supplying batteries to all automobiles and motorbikes in Vietnam, and the company has diversified products for the industry and other sectors. Throughout the operation, the company always complies with law, performs well environmental protection, takes good care of workers' lives and actively responds to social work serving the community. With these achievements, the company was honored to be awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the Sate President.
