At the meeting, Mr Tran Van Nam emphasized that, in the socio-economic development of Binh Duong province, the contribution of Viet Nam-Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIP) has been greatly contributed. This is considered model of model industrial zone, developed in the orientation of the province, has effectively operated, focused on attracting high-tech applications and environmentally friendly. Secretary emphasized, VSIP model is a symbol of effective development of Viet Nam and Singapore in general, of Becamex IDC & Sembcorp Group in particular. VSIP is not only in Binh Duong, but also in many other province & cities of the country. With good cooperation over the past years, the secretary hoped that, the President will continue to promote relationship between two sides.
Mr. Neil McGregor thanked for the warm welcome of Binh Duong provincial leaders and expressed his happiness with the development of province as well as good cooperation between Sembcrop Group and Becamex IDC Corporation in the past time. He said, the strategy for development of VSIP has always been adjusted to suit with the development of Binh Duong Province in particular and Viet Nam in general. He pledged to continue promote cooperation with province in appropriate sectors.

Chairman said, Singapore is currently ranked 4th among 59 countries & territories investing in Binh Duong, with 158 projects, total investment capital of 2.5 billion US dollars. Singapore businesses are very efficient, comply with law of Viet Nam, care for workers & ensure environmental protection. Recognizing the contribution of VSIP to the development of province, the Chairman wished Sembcorp Industries continues to support Binh Duong and Becamex IDC to soon develop VSIP III in Binh Duong.
Mr Neil McGregor pledged, Sembcrop Group will continue accompany the development of Binh Duong in particular, Viet Nam in general & actively support the implementation of VSIP III in Binh Duong.
On this occasion, on behalf of the State President, Chairman of the PPC Tran Thanh Liem awarded Friendship Medal to Mr. Kelvin Yeo Ban Seng- Cochairman of the Board of Members of VSIP Joint Venture Ltd and Mr. Anthony Tan Chong Ngee - Deputy General Director of VSIP Join Venture Ltd, for the great contribution to socio-economic development cooperation, contributing to the development of friendship between Viet Nam & Singapore.
