At the meeting, Secretary of
Party Committee Tran Van Nam briefed situation of economic - social and foreign
investment attraction in Binh Duong province. Currently, Japan ranks second
among 59 countries and territories investing in Binh Duong, with 246 projects
with a total investment of over 5 billion US dollars. Japanese businesses in
Binh Duong work very effectively, strictly abide by the laws of Vietnam and
take care of the employee's life. The Secretary wished the Consul General to
fulfill his assigned tasks and continue to be a bridge to promote
friendly relations between Vietnam - Japan in general and Binh Duong with
localities of Japan in particular to continually growing.

H.E. Kawaue Junichi said, he
started his tenure in February 2017. He expressed his thanks for the warm
welcome of provincial leaders and encouraged by the great development of Binh
Duong province, as well as good relationship between Binh Duong province with
businesses and localities of Japan. He wished provincial leaders to create
favorable conditions for Japanese businesses operating in Binh Duong.

Thanh Liem - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of
the provincial People's Committee (PPC) welcomed New Consul General of Japan in
Ho Chi Minh City for courtesy visit. Chairman of the PPC wished H.E Kawaue
Junichi for successful term in Vietnam. The provincial leaders appreciated the
contribution of Japanese businesses to socio-economic development of province and
will always be interested in creating favorable conditions for Japanese
businesses to operate effectively in Binh Duong.
New Consul General of Japan
in Ho Chi Minh City impressed by the way Binh Duong province government in
attracting investment, especially, the province regularly held dialogues and
meetings with businesses to solve difficulties and obstacles. In his position,
H.E Kawaue Junichi promised to continue calling Japanese businesses to invest
in Binh Duong, contributing to further development of Japan-Vietnam relations
in the future.
