water supply and sewerage companies from provinces and cities.

The project is invested with goal of collecting and treating
domestic wastewater to improve and protect the water environment of province,
promote economic growth and ensure public health towards sustainable
development, contributing to the implementation of national strategy on
environmental protection.
This is the second wastewater treatment plant after Thu Dau Mot
Domestic Wastewater Treatment Plant. Factory has a capacity of 17.000m3 / day
for the first stage, which is receiving from 12.000m3 to 13.000m3/day and
night. As pipeline is still constructing, Thuan An wastewater treatment plant
receives from 1,500m3 to 2,000 cubic meters per day. Wastewater is treated and
standard emission is according to regulations. Scope of collection is 3,163
hectares with main pipeline 290,000m long. Total investment capital is 2.475
trillion dong, equivalent to 12 billion Japanese yen sponsored 80% by the
Government of Japan, counterpart fund of
Binh Duong province is 20%.
Project has completed ahead of schedule, offering savings of over 216 billion
dong, equivalent to 1.1 billion Yen.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem - Vice Chairman of
Binh Duong People's Committee highly appreciated effort, capacity and
management effectiveness of Biwase's leader. In the process of operation,
management must ensure safety and promote investment efficiency. Leaders
expressed their gratitude to the Government of Japan, the Government of Viet Nam,
ministries, agencies and people in the region for their cooperation and support
to put project into operation sooner than planned.
