Thanked provincial
leaders for took time to welcome the delegation, Mr. Lee Seung Woo emphasized
that, the cooperation between Vietnam - Korea in general and Binh Duong
province with localities of Korea in
particular is tightening. In Korea, Chung Cheong Buk is a province that having
the business strengths in medical development. With that strength, he wished to
cooperate with Binh Duong province to develop the medical services of province,
especially transferring the medical equipment and training medical staffs. In
addition, the visit and work of delegation also aimed to promote medical
tourism in Chung Cheong Buk province in particular and Korea in general.

At the meeting, Mr.
Dang Minh Hung introduced the socio-economic situation in Binh Duong province.
In recent years, Binh Duong economy has grown on average of 13%/year. The
economic structure shifted towards industry and services. Binh Duong is one of
the provinces attracting the highest foreign investment (FDI) in the country. The
province has about 2,800 FDI enterprises with a total investment capital of
nearly 27 billion US dollars. Along with economic development, the province is
particularly interested in the field of health and education. The province has
3 public hospitals, 13 non-public hospitals, 9 medical centers and 56 clinics
covering districts, towns and cities in the province. The medical socialization
has been strengthened and modern medical equipment has been invested, such as
international hospitals such as Hanh Phuc, Colombia Asia, Becamex, etc.
However, being compared with development requirements Binh Duong also
encountered many difficulties in the medical field. Therefore, the province is
very welcome investment projects in this area. Vice Chairman of provincial
People's Committee assigned the Department of Health to be the focal point
coordinated with the Department of Foreign Affairs to promote exchanges and
cooperation between the two localities.
After the meeting, the
delegation visited and worked at My Phuoc General Hospital (Ben Cat Town) and
Becamex International Hospital (Thuan An Town).
