At the meeting,
Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Mr.Tran Thanh Liem said that up
to date, the total foreign investment capital of the province reached over 27
billion US dollars, ranked second in the country after Ho Chi Minh.
Particularly, Japan currently has about 250 investment projects in Binh Duong
with total capital of more than 5 billion US dollars. At the same time, the
Chairman of the provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the activities
of Japanese businesses and expected Japanese investors, including Omron Group,
to continue to invest in Binh Duong.

Mr. Ogino Isao gave an
overview of the Omron Group's operations and development orientations. He said,
Omron Group is an enterprise that manufactures health and medical instruments,
in which the mere business is the blood pressure monitor. In Binh Duong, after
nine years of operation, Omron Healthcare Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd.
(Omron Vietnam Company) has manufactured more than 35 million products of all
kinds and distributed to 170 countries around the world. In particular, to provided
a better care for employees, Omron Vietnam Company has been building Phuc Khang
area - a welfare zone for its staff including cafeteria, library, living room,
football field, etc. In the time to come, the company will continue to research
and develop new blood pressure machine products, aiming at strong business
objectives with research and development capacity, achieving sales of more than
200 million US dollars by 2020. To achieve that goal, besides the company's
efforts, Mr. Ogino Isao wished to receive the attention and create conditions
of Binh Duong Province.
The Chairman of the
provincial People's Committee Mr.Tran Thanh Liem appreciated and thanked Omron
Vietnam Company for its interest in building a welfare zone for workers. He
affirmed that, provincial leaders will always accompany and create favorable
conditions for the enterprises to operate effectively in Binh Duong.
