February 2017, PPC has
focused on directing the implementation of Resolution of Government, Provincial
Party Committee and Provincial Council on tasks of economic development -
social, defense - security in 2017; organized New Year's activities,
strengthening supply of goods, market stability, ensuring social security,
political security, social order and safety before, during and after Year of
Rooster 2017. During the month, PPC and Chairman of PPC have issued 3 legal
decisions, 253 individual decision, 1 directive and 3 submissions, 8 plans, 12
reports and 327 written directions. PPC’s office has complied with the
Chairman’s command to issue 4 notices about concluding opinions of Chairman and
Vice Chairman of PPC.
Economic - social
situation in the province continues to stabilize. The index of industrial production
(IIP) increased by 31.1% over the same period in 2016; Accumulated first 2
months of 2017 IIP index increased by 5.7% over the same period. Estimated
total retail sales of goods and services reached 13,1 trillion US dollars;
accumulated 2 months reached 28 trillion US dollars, increased 17.3% over the
same period. Export
turnover is estimated to reach 1 billion 895 million US dollars; Accumulated 02
months accounted 4 billion 111 million US dollars, up 10.2% over the same
period. Import turnover is estimated to reach at 1 billion 417 million US
dollars; Accumulated 02 months accounted 2 billion 999 million US dollars, an
increase of 9.7% over the same period. In month, attracting investment in the
country reached 2,847 billion dong; accumulated 2 months attracted 4.106
billion dong. Attracting foreign investment reached US $ 87 million US dollars;
accumulated 2 months attracted US$748,5 million US dollars.
Besides, the work of
caring for credit people, family policy, poverty, workers have difficult circumstances
during Tet is done carefully; well implement of the management and organization
of the festival. The security situation of political, social order and safety
in the province to be maintained; successfully completed the work of
assigning military service in 2017, quality assurance and military targets.

To conclude the
meeting, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem - Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of
PPC requested sectors and localities to continue implementing strict rules,
discipline, correct working ethic, coordinate better job handling, focus to
implement Action Program of Provincial Party Committee, plans of PPC to ensure
the completion of development plan targets of economic and social in 2017. At
the same time, advice PPC to construct schemes, plans to implement concluding
opinions of Prime Minister at the meeting with the province. Particularly, the
Chairman requested the Department of Planning and Investment to advise PPC to
issue programs, plans to attract investment, economic - social development.
Department of Construction implements Directive 03/CT-TTg of Prime Minister to
promote the development of social housing; while continuing to review the
criteria for urban areas.
Department
of Agriculture and Rural Development monitor disease in cattle, poultry, and
coordinates with Department of Health to implement the prevention and control
of epidemics. Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs promptly
addresses the needs for enterprise employees, restricts strike situation.
Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism focuses to prepare National Amateur
Music Festival II at Binh Duong. Department of Home Affairs advises PPC to
downsizing payroll. Provincial
Inspector, Citizen Reception committee complete dossiers, final resolution on
prolong complaints and denunciations.
