On behalf of the
delegation, Mr. Seji Inada has presented an overview of geographical location
and situation of economic – social development of Shizuoka Prefectural. At the
same time, the purpose of this visit of delegation was to explore opportunities
for investment in Binh Duong. He hoped two sides will have more specific
cooperation activities in the coming period.

To welcomed to visit of
Delegation, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem announced general situation of social-economic
and investment attraction of the province. Accordingly, Binh Duong
is one of the leading provinces in attracting investment. Currently the
province has 28 industrial zones with a total area of 10,000 hectares;
investment in infrastructure is relatively complete. Binh Duong has about 2,800
foreign-invested enterprises with total capital of about 27 billion US dollars.
In particular, Japan has nearly 250 projects with a total capital of over 5
billion US dollars, ranking No. 2 on investment capital and 3rd on total number
of projects in 59 countries and territories investing in Binh Duong.
Vice Chairman of
provincial People’s Committee also said, Binh Duong has well implemented administrative
reform in
order to create an open investment environment. Province also has some
vocational school to serve the labor demand needed of businesses. In
particular, provincial leaders, departments, agencies always accompany and
promptly resolve difficulties and problems, to create favorable conditions for
businesses to operate effectively in the Binh Duong.
At the meeting,
representatives of Shizuoka Prefecture have expressed desires to invest in
production and business in Binh Duong.
