At the meeting, Mr Tom
Hughes expressed special concern for the rapid development and impressive of
Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular. He said, during this trip, US
buisnesses have learned more opportunities to invest in production and business
in Binh Duong. Through preliminary understanding, most US businesses invest in
Binh Duong all feel very pleased about the overall development policy, the
support of province. Mr. Tom Hughes keen to have more opportunities to
introduce more US businesses to invest in the province. As individuals, he will
research and share experiences in the development of green cities, sustainable
of Metro region for Binh Duong to build a green, clean, modern city. Mr. Tom
Hughes hopes this visit would contribute to boost cooperation in many sectors
between two localities in particular and between two countries in general.

the delegation, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Liem
briefed the situation of social economic development, as well as attraction
situation of investment in the province in recent years. The United States
ranks 10th among 59 countries and territories investing in Binh Duong with 88
investment projects totaling more than 741 million US dollars. Chairman said,
the development orientation of Binh Duong Province in the near future is to
Binh Duong become green, clean, beautiful, friendly and smart cities. The
province welcomed to share experiences of city leaders and welcomed the
attention, understanding, cooperation and investment by US businesses in the
field of green, clean, high-tech content industry, the field of education and
training. Thereby, contribute for further promoting the economy, society
development of province.
