At the
meeting, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong People’ Committee Dang Minh Hung introduced
briefly the provincial social economic development in the past time. He
highlighted that parallel to economic growth, the province always pays
attention to social affairs especially training and education. Currently, Binh
Duong province has 8 universities, 6 colleges, 17 vocational schools and 46
vocational centers. The province is calling for investment in education field
in order to improve the education and training quality.

Mr. Neil Quiley appreciated Binh Duong development
in the past time. He stressed the cooperation opportunity with universities in
Binh Duong province. More than 50 years of establishment, Wakaito University
has more than12,000 students. Its strength are teacher training programs,
distance education programs, Finance, Economics and Management, computer
sciences, cybersecurity and environment... He hoped that Binh Duong branches
and departments create the favorables conditions to cooperate with Binh Duong
universities.
Vice Chairman Dang Minh Hung affirmed that Binh
Duong province will facilitate Waikato University cooperating with provincial
universities aiming to training high quality manpower for the provincial
development.
