According to reports by Nguyen Thanh Truc, Director of provincial Department of Planning and Investment; provincial Department of Industry and Trade, the province's socio-economic situation in the first 9 months of 2016 continued achieving positive changes with comprehensive results in all aspects. Most main targets gained growth compared to last year's corresponding period and even some were also fulfilled. The province's index of industrial production, retail sales of commodities and services maintained growth. Especially, export turnover continued growing up, helping the province reach trade surplus. The province's socio-economic infrastructure with synchronous investment was associated with the effective implementation of the Resolution No.35/NQ-CP, making positive results in investment attraction.

As of September 30, 2016, the province absorbed nearly VND25trillion in domestic capital from 3,579 newly-registered projects and 662 existing ones. So far, there have been 24,591 domestic projects with total registered capital of VND184trillion. Regarding FDI attraction, there were also additional 202 newly-registered projects and 99 extra ones with more than US$1.62billion…

The whole province is now home to 6 associations of industries and 1 association of exporters and importers. After being established, they have worked very actively, contributing to fulfilling the province's plan on socio-economic development in the period of 2011 and 2015.

At the meeting, participating enterprises expressed their delight at socio-economic achievements done by the province over the past time while thanking provincial leaders for their attention and help to the business community. Representatives of industries' associations and enterprises also presented some petitions known on exemption, reduction for export and import tariffs, adjustment of region-based minimum welfare, administrative reform, support for construction of waste water treatment systems…

Concluding the meeting, Tran Thanh Liem, Chairman of provincial People's Committee acknowledged all suggestions by enterprises. For some queries without satisfactory answers at the meeting, he required relevant agencies to raise answers in text in the soonest time. They were also ordered to report queries without their competence to the local and central administration for consideration and solution, facilitating enterprises' development.

In addition, he required enterprises to be proactive in integration to promote their production-business activities, well obey the law, actively engage activities in environmental protection and take good care of laborers' lives. Sectors and authorities at all levels of the province also need to focus on removing difficulties, facilitating enterprises' development.

In the coming time, the province will further boost administrative reform with publicity and transparency ensured, creating the best conditions for enterprises to work; bend on improving the investment climate, enhancing competitiveness and boosting support activities for enterprises.

On behalf of provincial leaders, the chairman also thanked industries' associations and enterprises for their contributions to the local cause of industrialization and modernization over the past time while hoping that they will further accompany the local authorities at all levels in removing difficulties in the process of production and business.
