At the working session, Mr. Tran Van Nam briefly
introduced the provincial socio-economic development status in recent
years. Currently in Binh Duong, Malaysia is the 6th largest investor
with 66 projects and US$ 600 million of investment capital. Malaysian
enterprises operate effectively, making contribution to provincial
socio-economic development. The businesses always obey Vietnam law and
regulations, care for workers' lives as well as actively take part in
local social activities.

Mr. Nam believed that during his term, Mr. Sofian
Akamal Abd Karim will continue holding activities to deepen the
relations between Vietnam and Malaysia in general and between Binh Duong
province and Malaysia in particular. Provincial leaders also promised
to facilitate the operation of Malaysian businesses.
Consul Sofian Akamal Abd Karim thanked provincial leaders for
facilitating Malaysian businesses and he also appreciated the investment
environment of Binh Duong province. He believed in the future the
relations between two localities will grow stronger.
