Maintaining the key role
In the 2010-2015 period, provincial
leaders regularly met and discussed with domestic and foreign
enterprises, especially enterprises affiliated to industries and
associations in the province, in order to directly listen to thoughts,
aspirations, and suggestions to timely remove difficulties, helping
enterprises to develop.
The province continued to improve
material facilities, technical infrastructure, business environment to
create favorable conditions for domestic and foreign enterprises to
invest and expand production.
Enterprises put more efforts into
improving management capability, innovating technologies, saving more
production costs… in order to decrease product prices, improve
competitiveness, increase productivity, and expand production. Thus,
industry sector continued to develop stably, sustain their key role in
the socio-economic development of the province.
Notably, in 2014, industrial
production value of Binh Duong was estimated at more than VND187,000
billion; in 2015 VND217,527 billion, increasing 16% year-on-year. In the
2011- 2015, the average industrial production value of the province
increased by 15.7%.

Keep growing
In the 2011- 2015, industry sector
continued to prove their vital role in provincial economic structure and
maintain steady growth. In particular, electricity –electronics gained
the highest growth rate of 18.4% / year and accounted for a significant
proportion of the total industrial production value, and is expected to
reach 13.2 % by 2015. Industries, like: food processing, beverages,
textiles, leather, wood processing, mechanics… also achieved good
growths of over 15% per year.
In addition, the province reached
export-oriented development. Specifically, FDI enterprises contributed
largely to this development. Industrial parks continued to be expanded,
efficiently utilized, synchronous infrastructure tied to the development
of urban infrastructure and high-quality services.
Binh Duong province currently has 28
industrial parks, including 26 industrial parks put into use with
occupancy rate of 65%. Additionally, industrial clusters were invested
to upgrade material facilities; there are now 6/8 clusters put into
operation with total area of nearly 600 ha and occupancy rate of 45%.
Thus, in 5 years, industry sector
continued to be the key one for the rapid and sustainable socio-economic
development of Binh Duong province.
