Investment attraction keeps growing
Implementing the 9th
Resolution of the 2010-2015 tenure’s Party, Binh Duong province
mobilized all social resources to invest in provincial development.
Total social investment capital of the period reached VND 263,000
billion (compared with VND 240,000 billion set by the 2010-2015 tenure’s
Party Resolution). The province lured a large number of FDI projects
with modern technologies, especially urban development, high-quality
service projects.
On
the other hand, the province attracted 12,373 domestic enterprises to
newly register and add more capital with total registered capital of
nearly VND 79,000 billion. At the current, total number of domestic
enterprises of Binh Duong province is 19,638 with a total registered
capital of VND 146,000 billion. This number increased 2 times, total
investment capital increased 2.2 times compared with the beginning of
the tenure. FDI surpassed targets. Namely, there were 491 new projects
and 690 projects adding more capital with total investment capital of
$7.9 billion. The province has now 2,546 FDI projects with total
investment of $21.5 billion. The project number rose 1.23 times, total
capital amount rose 1.58 times compared with the beginning of the
tenure. Binh Duong has become one of the five localities attracting over
$ 20 billion of FDI capital and having an important role in economic
development of the country.

the last tenure, Binh Duong absorbed $7.9 billion of FDI capital,
increasing $ 2.9 billion compared with targets set by the 2010-2015

Believing in investment attraction policy
Large
projects, like: Tokyu Group invested $1.2 billion in urban development
in Binh Duong New City; AEON Group invested in a commercial center in
Thuan An town; Far Eastern Group invested nearly $ 1 billion in the
supporting industry in Bau Bang district… have contributed to the
sustainable development of the province.
This
implied that investors satisfied with investment attraction policy of
Binh Duong province. Provincial People’s Committee has paid much
attention, timely remove difficulties of businesses, consolidating trust
and attracting more projects.
Binh
Duong always makes careful preparation for inviting business
investments. This effort plus local advantages, such as: infrastructure,
human resources, administrative procedure reform, have turned Binh
Duong into an attractive long-term investment destination.
Therefore,
the province will continue to maintain the leading role of industrial
production to achieve high, stable growth rate; promote in-depth
development to stimulate urban, trade - service development in the
province. Products from provincial enterprises were diverse and widely
consumed in domestic market and many countries around the world.
In
the 2010-2015 tenure, Binh Duong province continued to rearrange,
improve efficiency of State-owned enterprises and collective economy.
The province carried out the restructuring and equitization, divestment
at State-owned enterprises and subsidiaries of 2 State-owned
corporations (Becamex IDC and Thalexim), 1 Party-owned corporation
(Protrade Corporation) in order for enterprises to operate efficiently
and expand it business inland and abroad. Collective economy continued
to be concerned and gained good results in some fields. |
