The socio-economic growth continues

Socio-economic status of the province continues to gain good transition and relatively thorough results in all fields thanks to the unity, efforts, and determination of the political system, enterprise community, and the public in the face of various challenges and drawbacks in the year 2015.

Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee has reported of good economic growth in 2015. Industrial development index has increased by 10.3% with industrial production value of VND 217,211 billion, increasing by 15.8%. Twenty four out of twenty seven commodity groups of industrial production have increased more than previous terms. Of the increment, 13 groups have increased by over 10% regarding those commodities under stable exporting and good consuming markets which contribute to general growth of the industries of textile, shoe-making and materials, electronic products, beds, cupboards, tables, chairs, etc.

Tran Thanh Liem, the Chair of provincial People's Committee affirmed that the production and business operations in the province continued to growth while the provincial authorities have timely grasped up and resolve drawbacks by meeting with enterprises and cargo associations. As reported by Department of Tax, revenue of State-owned enterprises has increased by 22% in 2015, civil enterprises 5.7%, and FDI enterprises 16.6%.

Aside from the meeting with enterprises for timely resolution of drawbacks, provincial authorities have rationally resolved the problems of capital and markets to facilitate distinct recovery of industries. Besides, exportation has been on stable growth to contribute to exportation revenue of the province. Within 2015, such exportation revenue of the province has gained over US$ 20.976 billion, increasing by 17.9%. Compared with previous term, 18 out of 19 exporting goods groups have grown (including 16 groups of above 10% of revenue mainly of shoe-making, textile, woodwork products, electronic and metal products. In 2015, the exportation surplus of the province has been over US$ 3.7 billion. The foreign investment attraction has particularly increased to exceed 70% of the year planning. Besides, State's budget collection, especially domestic collection, has grown well compared to previous term.

The cultural and social fields of the province have been taken good care of and gained good growth. Education and training has dramatically transformed in terms of quality and facilities with good response to physical growth of student population in the year. Social welfare has been ensured with forces gathered to take care of socially privileged subjects, the poor, and working people. Life quality of the people has been gradually improved and enhanced. The new rural area construction programs have been enthusiastically implemented for bright results. Political security and social order have been basically enhanced and maintained.

Major tasks in 2016

The year 2016 is the first year of implementation of Resolution of the 12^th national Party Congress and of the 10 provincial Party Congress. The effective implementation of the tasks in 2016 will create requisite conditions for the 5-year plan of socio-economic development from 2016 to 2020. On such basis, the provincial authority has proposed major targets and tasks including the improvement of quality, efficiency, and competitiveness of industrial production. Auxiliary industries, agriculture servicing industries, and rural economic components will be recommended for development. Investment environment continues to be improved to promote production, business, and implementation of investment luring activities as the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) comes into forces.

The province will intensify the orientation of investments and planning of development. Solutions are to be implemented to rapidly develop services, especially those of advantages, technologies, and highly added value. Trade promotion and exporting market and domestic expansion will be promoted to consume commodities and maintain exportation surplus of the province. The project of developing urban agriculture in the South of the province will be implemented. Modern industrialized husbandry will be focused in the North of the province. Concentration on investment luring to high-tech agriculture sectors will be made. Development investments will be gathered with priority for investments into major constructions, especially medical and educational constructions. Urban development program of Binh Duong Provincee from 2016 to 2020 will be constructed and well implemented in line with general planning of urban development. Managerial measures are to be effectively implemented to ensure the collection resources, tight management and efficient use.

For cultural and social field, the province will gather up forces to implement gratitude policies and care for socially-privileged subjects. Sustainable poverty eradication is well implemented for 2016-2020 with concentration on settlement of workers and rubber tree planters. Activities celebrating major events of the nation and localities will be organized in 2016. Education quality at all levels will be enhanced with good categorization of students after junior high school in accordance with regulations. National programs of health-care, community health-care will be well implemented with measures to improve health service quality.

Tran Van Nam, the Secretary of Provincial Party Committee asserted that the tasks in 2016 will be much of burden, requiring unity, creativity, and direction for highest achievements by upholding the incentives, creativity, leadership, direction, and high achievements targeted by the resolution of the 10th provincial Party Congress in 2016 in the tenure of 2015-2020.
