The project has a total value of €12
million, is to collect, treat local wastewater on an area of 1.193ha in
Di An, Thuan An, Tan Uyen. Domestic wastewater of 229 small production
facilities and 19,200 households are connected directly to the common
collection system. Treatment capacity of the first phase is
15,000m3/day/total capacity of the plant (45.000m3/day) to protect the
environment and public health, build up a friendly, sustainable Binh Duong City.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Tran
Thanh Liem emphasized: Industrial development tied to environmental
protection is the key issue concerning provincial leaders. Due to
limited budget, the province must prioritize urgent tasks, such as:
education, health, transportation, and take advantage of international
loans to invest in environmental issues. Binh Duong province leadership
appreciated the attention and support of the Consul General and other
members to tighten the relationship, improve the efficiency of
cooperation and friendship between Vietnam – the Netherlands. Binh
Duong province pledged to put the project into operation and operate
efficiently.
