* Tran Thanh Trong, Vice President of Binh Duong Business Federation: Provincial new leadership will continue to bring Binh Duong to a new height
2016 is a crucial year to Vietnamese enterprises in general and Binh Duong businesses in particular in the competition and integration process, because we are entering many big "battles", such as: Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
To Binh Duong province, we are very optimistic, due to the transparent, friendly, and effective leadership of provincial Party, People's Committee and all levels. I believe the new leadership would inherit and promote the solidarity, pioneering spirit, and always be close to enterprises in order to bring Binh Duong to a new height in the process of industrialization and modernization. I also believe, in 2016, the Government will manage effectively, utilize resources, support Vietnamese enterprises.
* Park Jin Ku, President of Binh Duong Association of Korean Businesses: Training for high-quality human resources needs more concerns
In recent years, Korean businesses, especially garment enterprises, have invested heavily in Vietnam, including Binh Duong province. This is a labor-intensive sector. However, labor costs in Vietnam have surged, thus labor-intensive sectors will not able to operate efficiently. Regarding trade – service, in Binh Duong, supermarkets, commercial centers are located relatively close to each other, causing many difficulties in trading. In the coming time, many large corporations, Samsung Electronics, industries supplying machinery, electronics, commerce, and industries with high technical skills will invest strongly in Vietnam as well as Binh Duong. In my opinion, Binh Duong province need to concern more with on-site training for high-quality human resources to meet the needs of investors.
* Tran Duc Hoa, General Director of Dat Hoa Plastics Co., Ltd (My Phuoc Industrial Park, Ben Cat town): “Good fame” of Binh Duong keeps spreading
In recent years, industrial products, especially Vietnamese plastic products have obtained high sales in the US market, due to good quality, competitive prices compared to similar products from neighboring countries. This is an advantage to businesses and an issue needs more concerns and discussion.
When we introduced our plant in Binh Duong to foreign customers, most of them praised and trusted in the investment environment and the impressive growth of this locality, especially in policy and dedicated, responsible working style of public servants. This is not also our happiness but also a right choice. In order for the brandname “Binh Duong” to keep spreading on the world market, I hope, in addition to dialogues with business communities, provincial leaders should also remind businesses of paying high attention to prestige, origin to better themselves and preserve the good fame of Binh Duong.
* Pham Thi Xuan Trang, Director of Dai Tay Duong Company (Dong An Industrial Park, Thuan An town): I believe provincial leaders would create favorable conditions for businesses
In recent years, despite of the gloomy economic context, provincial business community has shown a bravery, overcome difficulties, done business efficiently, contributing to the successful implementation of economic objectives of the province.
In 2016, I believe that with multilateral and bilateral treaties, Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) with the participation of Vietnam, and achieved results of socio-economic development in 2015... leaders of Binh Duong province will effectively implement TPP, while continuing to create favorable conditions for businesses to develop production, improve competitiveness, efficiently utilize advantages of TPP.
* Masaya Nakagaqua, CEO of Vietnam GS Battery Co., Ltd (Thuan An town): Provincial leaders will continue to stay close to businesses
In 2015, Binh Duong province gained many accomplishments on many fields. Coming to Binh Duong many years ago, we were very impressed by friendly working style of local authorities. During the time we were here, the province supported us in any circumstances. That is why we decided to expand our plant, increased 5 million USD of investment capital in production lines, expanding plant for a long-term business in Binh Duong.
In 2016, more investments from foreign countries pouring in Binh Duong would surge. I think this would be an opportunity and a challenge to local government and business community. But with its wide experience, I believe provincial enterprises would continue to reap success, boom, and help many new enterprises to operate efficiently in Binh Duong. I hope that the province would accelerate administrative procedure reform, improve public services to support businesses more effectively.
* Gyusik Cho, Deputy CEO of Vietnam Kumho Tires Co., (Ben Cat town): I'm happy to work in Binh Duong
On occasions of meeting, my peers have commented I was happy to work in Binh Duong, because of the good working environment here. In fact I found it was true, because our company have received the enthusiastic assistance from all levels and sectors in the province. For example, our company wanted to expand production, import machinery and components, which have been checked strictly in customs procedures. As we asked for supports, Binh Duong Customs and My Phuoc Industrial Park enthusiastically helped us, created favorable conditions for us without violating regulations and laws.
Provincial customs also organizes meaningful annual meetings with businesses. I myself appreciated this.

In recent years, Binh Duong has organized regular conferences, dialogues on tax policies with Korean companies in the province. This activity has contributed to maintaining the continuity in updating information on tax policies for Korean investors. At these meetings, provincial leaders directly answered many questions, solved problems on tax policies, reassuring businesses. I think, in the future, local authorities should promote this model, make more reforms, simplify administrative procedures in order to help foreign companies like us.
