The area of annual planted crops was estimated at 27,720 hectare (4.2% lower than the last period), in which the area of rice was 10,046 hectare, 7,073 hectare of starch crops, 6,078 hectare of vegetables, beans; 4,523 hectare of annual and perennial industrial crops. Area of perennial crops was estimated at 135,928 hectare (a decrease of 1.7% at the last period), of which 127,104 hectare of rubber trees, 4,856 hectare of fruit trees, 3,361 hectare of cashew trees. Decrease of agriculture area was caused by converting some inefficient plants to perennial crops and the building of industrial, commercial and urban areas.

In 2011, there were 34,791 buffalos and cows through the province, decrease by 2.2%; 417,939 pigs, an increase of 8.5%; 2.89 million birds, increase by 2.1% compared to the same period last year. To prevent A/H1N1 flu, foot and mouth disease, the provincial Farmers’s Association had mobilized farmers to implement prevention of diseases and vaccination on phase I, II for the entire cattle and pigs. Aquaculture area was estimated at 398 hectare, increased by 4% of total production compared to 2010, reached about 6,000 tons (up 10.4% compared to thesame period last year).
The total value of agricultural production is estimated at 2,800 billion, 4.2% higher than the last period.
