Industrial production in February reached 6,715 billion dongs, down 36.7% against the last month, up 21.9% against the same period of 2010; accumulated statistics of the first 2 months reached 17,321 billion dongs, increased by 22.4% in comparison with the same period last year. The total revenue from retail goods and services in February reached 4,287 billion dongs, decreased by 6.2% against the last month, increased 22.3% in comparison with the same period last year, the accumulated statistics achieved 8,855 billion dongs, increased 32.8% in comparison to the same period.

 

 Consumption Price Index (CPI) in February increased by 1.99% against last month. Increasing price by large amount or lack of goods did not happen because of good reserve.

 

Passenger transportation meets the demand of people of Binh Duong province and other province to travel in the occasion of Mother Ancestor Festival in January 15^th in lunar calendar. The total revenue estimated to reach 1,325.4 billion dongs, up 65.2% against the same period last year.

 

 

 

This year, worker in Binh Duong enterprises passes Vietnamese Tet holidays in a long time. Consequently, export turnover reached only US$ 526.2 million decreased 36.9% against last month and increased by 32.7% in comparison with the same period, some of them had high price: pepper, rubber, textiles and garment, foot-wear. February’s accumulated export turnover reached US$1,360.7 million, up 17% against the same period.

 

Import turnover of February reached US$460 million, decreased 33.5% in comparison with last month, increased by 33.5% against the same period. The accumulated import turnover for two months reached US$ 1,151.5 million, up 22.2% against the same period. Production lines support manufacturing activities strongly increased: machines, equipments, accessory, electronics.

 

There were 46 newly-registered domestic investment enterprises with the capital of 284.538 billion VND; accumulated for two months had 110 newly-registered enterprises with the total capital of 527.8 billion VND. Foreign investments projects were capitalized US$ 93.1 millions, among them, 4 new projects of US$ 2.43 million and 09 capital-increased projects, the increased-capital of US$ 90.67 million. The accumulated of two months were 05 new registered projects, 14 capital-increased projects with the total capital of US$102.734 millions.

 

Budget revenue for two months reached 2,800 billion VND, decreased by 7% in comparison with the same period, obtained 13.3% provincial estimated budget. Budget expense was at 1,100 billion VND, increased 7% in comparison with the same period, accounted for 14.6% of estimated budget expense.

Furthermore, provincial leaders also took care of the people under preferential treatment policy. Politic, social securities were stably maintained.
