Being set up in 2001, Life – Gap project was the result of the cooperation between Viet Nam Health Ministry and USA Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), aiming to strengthen the leadership and investment in the fight against global AIDS epidemic.
In the period 2008-2009, 2,185 people was advised and tested at the No. 1 Centre, Preventive Medicine and HIV/AIDS Prevention Centre, and the No. 2 Centre in Di An District of Binh Duong province (accounted for 121.39%); 1,025 patients registered at outpatient clinics; 329 patients having ARV treatment; 13,003 pregnant women were advissed and tested HIV at the obstetrics of Binh Duong General Hospital and at The Centre for Reproductive Health of Binh Duong province; 1,032 tuberculosis patients were advised and tested HIV (accounted for 158.7%); 69,280 condoms were distributed (accounted for 84.48%)…
