On behalf of provincial leaders, Chairman Cung welcomed the visit of the delegation. He briefly introduced the provincial socio-economic development status recently. In the first five months of 2014, the province lured US$ 896 million from 58 new projects and 53 operational projects. He also gave a high appreciation for Dutch enterprises such as Nedspice, Phillips, Friesland Campina Vietnam etc for effective business operation, making contribution to the provincial socio-economic development.
On this occasion, Chairman Cung expressed his sincere thanks to the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh city for supporting the working trip of Binh Duong leaders and enterprises in April. He hoped after this visit, General Consul Simon van der Burg would create favorable conditions for businesses of Vietnam and the Netherlands to meet and boost investment and cooperation on hi-tech industry, food industry, agriculture, pharmaceutical industry etc.
General Consul Simon van der Burg expressed his impression on the province’s rapid development recently. The relations between Vietnam and the Netherlands has become stronger, especially since the official working visit of Mr. Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands last June. Mr. Simon van der Burg believed there would be many Holland enterprises to invest in Vietnam, including Binh Duong province. He also promised to create favorable conditions for companies of two countries to meet and boost investment.
