At the meeting, Vice Chairman Tran Thanh Liem informed the delegation some results that the province achieved in 2010 such as: GDP growth rate at 14.5%, average income reached 30.1 million VND/capita/year (2.2 fold of 2005), economic structure was industry – service – agriculture with the proportion of 63% - 32.6% - 4.4% respectively, industrial value increased by 20.5% (2.5 fold of 2005), etc. Besides, the construction of infrastructure system and investment policies improving were focused to attract domestic and foreign investors.
Mr. Buasonekhone was deeply impressed by the provincial 2010 achievements. Through this working visit, he hoped the leaders of Champasak province would be enhanced their skills in state-own enterprises management and human resources training.

The delegation of Champasak paid a working visit in Binh Duong from May 15 to May 17 2011, visited and exchanged management experiences at some state-own enterprises and industrial parks in the province.
Champasak province is located in the south of Laos, with its strength in agriculture, hydroelectric power, tourism, and services. In 2010, GDP reached 9.8%, average income reached 1,970 USD/capita/year. Champasak signed co-operation record with some Binh Duong’s enterprises, among them is Dau Tieng Rubber Corporation for growing coffee trees and processing natural rubber.
