Mr. Pham Van Canh, Standing Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of Binh Duong province People’s Council, Mr. Le Thanh Cung, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of Binh Duong province People’s Committee, Deputy Chairmen of the provincial People’s Committee, leaders of provincial departments and agencies, the People’s Committee of districts, towns and city and representatives of 37 enterprises attended the ceremony.  

 

Apart from the damage covered by insurance, the rest received support policies designed by Binh Duong authorities. The enterprises would get general support on reconstruction, taxation, customs, natural resources and environment, banking, job, social insurance, social security and administration formalities and restoring corporates’ data and documents.

  

 

   

 

In phase 1, there were 37 damaged businesses that received support with total money of nearly VND 286 billion in which Chutex International Co. Ltd received VND 112 billion support, VND 64 billion was home to Asama Vietnam Company and Alhonga Vietnam Co. Ltd received VND 13 billion… along with assistance on construction permit, construction procedure, tax exemption, VAT tax refund, water use permit extension, environmental inspections deferment, maintaining credit limit, interest rates reduction, unemployment insurance simplification…

  

 

   

  

    

  

Mr. Le Thanh Cung, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of Binh Duong province People’s Committee confirmed that Binh Duong province authorities would apply all policies under the direction of the Government as well as within provincial jurisdiction to create favorable conditions for corporates to resume their normal activities. The above-mentioned types of supports demonstrated the attention of provincial leaders, helped businesses focus on their production. In the future, the provincial leaders would continue to assist enterprises under various forms.

  

Mr. Cung also stated that the province submitted its petition to the Government and the Ministry of Finance on “Paying salary for workers on work-suspended days”. The fees would be deducted from corporation tax. With businesses that had tax exemption, spend national budget in order to help enterprises overcome difficulties.

 

Earlier, on June 6, 2014, at Lucky Square Convention Center, The Ministry of Finance coordinated with Binh Duong Province People’s Committee and Vietnam Insurance Association to hold the program “Advancing insurance compensation for damaged businesses in Binh Duong province”. There were 113 businesses that suffered loss and damages were advanced VND 114.7 billion compensation. Among recipients were 87 Taiwanese investors, 3 from Singapore, 4 from Hongkong, 3 from Korea with the total compensation of VND 59.5 billion, VND 28.3 billion, 21.8 billion and VND 3.3 billion respectively. Insurance companies that paid advance compensation were Fubon, Bao Viet, Bao Minh, Pijico, Cathay, MSIG, Samsung Vina, etc.
