About Binh Duong provice, Binh Duong Party Committee Secretary Mai The Trung, Binh Duong People’s Committee Vice Chairman Tran Van Nam and representatives of related ministries, departments and Dong Nai river basin system Committee of Environment protection members attended this event.

 

 

The meeting purpose was to review the results of proposed issues in the 3th session of the Committee in Dong Nai province and the results of deploying the Project of the environment protection in Dong Nai river basin system to 2020 (Project), to resolve the difficulties and find out solutions, plans to enhance the efficiency of the environment protection in conformity of the Project targets.

 

December 03^rd, 2007, the Decision No. 187/2007/QĐ-TTg on the Project of the protection environment in the Dong Nai river basin system to 2020 signed and approved by the Prime Minister. The Project’s targets were to gradually control the environmental protection, to ameliorate the water quality of Dong Nai River; to balance the water resources for domestic water, agriculture water requirement; to regenerate and revive and protect the environment quality and develop the environmental resources.

 

Currently, les members agree to found Steering Board of the Project. Provinces such as Binh Thuan, Lam Dong promulgated Regulations on Steering Board’s organization and operation. Provincial People’s Committees directly instructed departments to deploy tasks, projects and Resources and Environment Departments were the clue helping provincial People’s Committees to manage and deploy the Project.

 

In Binh Duong province, pursuant the Decision No. 64/203/QĐ-TTG dated April 22^nd, 2003 on strict treatment of the facilities causing serious environmental pollution, the province announced 102 facilities causing serious environmental pollution in 2007, 54 facilities in 2009 and 28 facilities in 2010. After the inspection, supervision and treatment, the manufacturer polluters implemented solutions to control the pollution. Until September 2011, 93 manufacturers completely control the pollution and 10 facilities implemented solutions to limit the environmental pollution.

 

 

 

After the survey, Binh Duong Natural Ressources and Environment chose 6 nearly 100% full-invested industrial parks to place observation equipment of wastewater and automatic water samplers and cameras in 15 main pollution sources. The project has been officially operated in July 2011, comprised 21 cameras at the place of treated wastewater, 21 cameras to observe wastewater treatment, 21 automatic water samplers and 6 online stations measuring rapidly and consecutively indicators such as COD, TSS, pH, EC and wastewater effluent.

 

 

 

In the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Minh Quang affirmed the important role of the Project in the socio-economic development of 11 provinces and cities in Dong Nai river basin. Therefore,  provincial Steering Boards of the Project needed to speed up the deployment, to prepare capitals for projects as planned; to promote social human resources to take part in the environmental protection; to accelerate the propaganda to enhance awareness of the environment protection to manufacturers and local people; to strengthen the regular supervision to control the environmental pollution and to coorporate province members aiming to find out the best solutions concerning the pollution in Dong Nai river basin system.
