Vice - Chairman of Binh Duong People’s Committee Tran Thanh Liem; Vice –Chairwoman of Provincial People’s Council Tran Thi Kim Van; leaders of provincial of related departments and representatives of the branches under Southern Urban Area’s and Industrial Zone’s Environment association attended.
From 2009 to 2011, these branches play an important role in local sanitation urban, the protection labors’ interest and the coordination between regional branches in this field in order to find together solutions, request the disbursement from governmental budget and other economic sectors aiming to execute the collection, transportation, treatment of solid waste, especially industrial rubbishes and hazardous waste.

According to Mr. Huynh Minh Nhut - Chairman of the Southern Urban Area’s and Industrial Zone’s Environment Association, limited and private companies concerning the environment also participated in this organization. The association continues to socialize environmental sanitation by attracting potential resources for ensuring more effectively the collection, transportation, treatment of solid waste as well as industrial hazardous garbage.
At the meeting, participants exchanged experiences in this field such as: household solid waste treatment in the South and technological solutions (Ho Chi Minh City), Garbage treatment in Binh Duong province-fact and solutions (Binh Duong), environmental sanitation in the tourist city Da Lat (Lam Dong)…
In 2004, Binh Duong People’s Committee allowed Binh Duong water sewage – supply and environment Co., ltd to be investor of integrated solid waste treatment zone in southern Binh Duong which collects, transports and treats rubbish in an area of 75 hectares. Once in operation, the zone receives an average of 700 tons of household garbage and 80 tons of industrial wastes.
