Attending the ceremony had Mr. Mai The Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee and leaders of the People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee in Binh Duong province, provincial departments and agencies. Besides, leaders of other Provinces, Consulate Generals, domestic and foreign enterprises, and more than 1000 locals also presented.

Binh Duong New City Project with total area of 1,000 hectares invested by Becamex IDC Corp., has been approved by the Government with main items such as Political and Administrative Center, High-technology park by Mapletree Group (Singapore), Financial – Banking - Business Center, International Universities, etc. to serve more than 125,000 living and 400,000 working people. When completed, this urban center will become a modern, advanced city of industry, education & training.

 

Delivering speech at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duc Kien said that the construction of Binh Duong New City marked a milestone in the comprehensive process of industrialization – modernization, contributed to the economic growth of Binh Duong province in particular and of the Southern Key Economic Zone in general; the determination of Binh Duong New City location was innovative which can explore the strength of the provincial economy.
