Chairman Nguyen Hoang Son introduced the accomplishments achieved in Binh Duong province in 2008: provincial GDP (gross domestic product) increased of 14.8% in 2007, income per capita reached VND 26.1 millions / person / year, nearly 50% of workers had been trained, etc. Totally, there had been 74 U.S. projects with total investment of USD 330 millions. Some major projects with large investment capital may include American Home with USD 46 millions, Kimberly Clark with USD 23.5 million, P & G with USD 20 millions, etc.
 
The Deputy Ambassador claimed that the accomplishment Binh Duong had achieved is highly competitive criteria in attracting foreign investment and would be a bridge for U.S. firms to invest in Binh Duong.
