At the conference, representatives of reporters from press agencies asked questions related to the security and order situation; public land management; illegal construction of houses on agricultural land; disbursement of public investment capital; labor situation, foreign investment attraction, disease control, petroleum supply, etc. The contents of the questions were answered clearly and specifically by leader representatives of the departments and branches.
Responding to the content of the illegal construction of houses on agricultural land, Mr. Huynh Pham Tuan Anh - Deputy Director of the Department of Construction that over the past time, the management of construction order in Binh Duong province has been focused by all levels, branches and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to strengthen, inspect, detect and strictly handle construction violations in order to gradually establish construction order. In the first quarter of 2023, the authorities inspected 1,724 cases, of which: 1,317 cases with permits, 159 cases without permits, 88 cases of illegality, and 160 other violations. Competent agencies have issued 241 decisions on sanctioning administrative violations with a total fine of 4.5 billion VND.

Regarding the labor situation, Mr. Pham Van Tuyen - Deputy Director of the Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs said that the world economic and political situation has greatly affected the production and business activities of many enterprises, especially in the garment, footwear and leather, and wood processing industries, resulting in impacts on income and life of many workers and employees due to reduction of working hours, contract suspension or termination of labor contracts. According to current statistics, the province has more than 180,000 workers whose working hours have been reduced, more than 29,000 workers whose contracts have been suspended, and about 22,000 whose labor contracts have been terminated. Forecasting recruitment demand in the second quarter of 2023 in the province is about 8,000 to 10,000 workers.

Informing about the relocation of enterprises in the South to industrial zones and clusters in the North of the province, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said that the province has set out a specific relocation schedule for each phase; at the same time, is developing criteria for enterprises to relocate to industrial zones and clusters in the province. Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha added that not all enterprises in the South of the province have to relocate to industrial zones, but based on the criteria, the province will determine which enterprises must relocate and which enterprises must perform functional conversion. The province will pilot the relocation of some enterprises that are ready for all conditions; and will soon issue a policy to support relocation.
